Grace, arranged.
Chen is one name with two lives.
In Hebrew, חן means grace, the quiet kind, noticed before it can be explained. The way a ring catches the light as you reach for your glass.
In Chinese, 陈 carries the sense of setting something out, arranging it, giving it its place. It is also a family name, and ours.
STUDIOCHEN lives where the two meet.
Most of us save our best jewellery pieces for occasions that rarely come. We’d rather you didn’t. A beautiful piece on an ordinary day is never too much when it’s arranged well: the right pairing, the right weight, the right moment.
So we choose a few pieces of jewellery at a time and bring them together in what we call Arrangements: for the days you have, not the ones you’re saving for.
Dinner with old friends.
A journey you’ve been looking forward to for a year.
The market on a Saturday morning.
A Monday that could use a little more light.Because sometimes it’s not the occasion that makes you reach for something special. Sometimes you simply want to feel a little more like yourself.
We’re a small studio, and we like it that way. We’d rather be discovered than be everywhere.
And one more thing.
Read חן backwards and it becomes נח, Noach, a name associated with rest.
There’s something fitting about that.Wear it out into the evening. Then come home.
